A planeswalker with indestructible still loses loyalty as it's dealt damage. It is put into its owner's graveyard if its loyalty becomes 0.

Because damage remains marked on a creature until the damage is removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a creature you control may become lethal if Avacyn leaves the battlefield during that turn.

A battle with indestructible still loses defense counters as it's dealt damage. If it's a Siege, it will still be exiled when the last defense counter is removed from it, and its controller may still cast it transformed without paying its mana cost.

Doran’s ability doesn’t actually change creatures’ power; it changes only the value of the combat damage they assign. All other rules and effects that check power or toughness use the real values.

Doran’s ability means, for example, that a 2/3 creature will assign 3 damage in combat instead of 2.

This effect is mandatory and affects all creatures.

Each creature assigns combat damage equal to its toughness rather than its power.

So great is his wisdom and spirit that many who have met him say that they stood before a giant of a man and talked to the wisest of the four winds.

Gaddock Teeg

If one half of a split card has a mana value of 3 or less and doesn't have an {X} in its mana cost, Gaddock Teeg lets you cast that half.

A spell's mana value is determined only by its mana cost. Alternative costs (including casting a spell "without paying its mana cost"), additional costs, and cost reductions don't affect a spell's mana value.

Noncreature spells with mana value 4 or greater can't be cast.
Noncreature spells with {X} in their mana costs can't be cast.

The owner of a card is the player who started the game with that card in their deck.

The owner of a token is the player under whose control the token was put onto the battlefield.

Prismatic Geoscope

How many lands you control of a particular basic land type is irrelevant to a domain ability, as long as that number is greater than zero. As far as domain is concerned, ten Forests are the same as one Forest.

Most nonbasic lands don't have basic land types, even if they produce colored mana. For example, Caves of Koilos is neither a Plains nor a Swamp.

Prismatic Geoscope can't produce colorless mana.

Some nonbasic lands do have basic land types. Domain abilities don't count the number of lands you control—they count the number of basic land types among lands you control, even if that means checking the same land twice. For example, if you control a Tundra, a Blood Crypt, and a Forest, you'll have a Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest among the lands you control. Your domain abilities will be maxed out.

The colors of mana that Prismatic Geoscope can produce aren't related to the specific basic land types among lands you control. For example, if you control a Plains and an Island, you can activate Prismatic Geoscope's ability to add {R}{G}.

To determine the number of basic land types among lands you control, look for the Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest subtypes among the lands you control. Count each subtype that appears one or more times toward the number of basic land types among lands you control. This number can't exceed five.

You can activate Prismatic Geoscope's mana ability if you have no basic land types among lands you control, but it won't produce any mana.

Rules Lawyer

+1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters on permanents you control no longer annihilate each other. (704.5q)

A creature with toughness 0 or less can still attack and block. It blocks an attacking creature with trample, treat its toughness as 0 when determining how to assign combat damage.

Any ability that says a player wins or loses the game still works.

Auras you control stay on the battlefield if they’re attached to an illegal permanent or if they aren’t attached to a permanent (but should be). They may not do much because there probably won’t be an “enchanted [whatever],” but they’ll stay on the battlefield! (704.5m) Similarly, thanks to an un-documented silver-bordered state-based action no longer applying, your creatures with augment can now survive even if not attached to a host. If this happens, its power and toughness are 0/0. (704.5m)

Because Rules Lawyer applies only to you and other permanents you control, tokens that leave the battlefield will continue to cease to exist. This is also true for copies of cards that might exist off the battlefield.

Creatures you control that have been dealt lethal damage remain on the battlefield. (704.5g)

Creatures you control with toughness of 0 or less remain on the battlefield. (704.5f)

Equipment and Fortifications you control can stay attached to an illegal permanent. (704.5n)

Good news for Rasputin Dreamweaver fans: you can ignore abilities of permanents you control that say it can’t have more than a certain number of a certain kind of counter. (704.5r)

If you somehow control a creature that’s attached to another permanent, that creature can stay attached. It can attack and block, even if another creature is carrying it. Similarly, if you control a permanent that isn’t an Aura, an Equipment, or a Fortification, it can stay attached to whatever you manage to get it attached to. Strange. (704.5p)

If you try to draw from an empty library, nothing happens. (704.5b)

In Commander, you’re immune to the “commander damage rule” that says you lose if a single commander deals 21 or more combat damage to you. (704.5u)

Rules Lawyer’s ability doesn’t apply to itself. It can die for any number of reasons. If you’re at 0 or less life and you lose control of Rules Lawyer, you’ll immediately lose the game.

While you control Rules Lawyer, the following is true, with the exception of not affecting Rules Lawyer itself (Comprehensive Rules references in parentheses):

You can control as many legendary permanents (including planeswalkers) with the same name as you want. It’s like your own personal Mirror Gallery! (704.5j)

You can control multiple permanents with the supertype world. So, that opens up some deck ideas, I’d imagine. (704.5k)

You could hit up an all-you-can-eat poison counter buffet no problem. (704.5c)

You don’t lose the game if you’re at or below 0 life. (704.5a)

Your Two-Headed Giant team can no longer lose because you have 0 or less life or fifteen or more poison counters. (704.5s and 704.5t)

Your planeswalkers remain on the battlefield even if they have no loyalty counters. (704.5i)

State-based actions don't apply to you or other permanents you control. (You don't lose the game due to having 0 or less life or drawing from an empty library. Your creatures aren't destroyed due to damage or deathtouch and aren't put into a graveyard due to having 0 or less toughness. Your planeswalkers aren't put into a graveyard if they have 0 loyalty. You don't put a legendary permanent into a graveyard if you control two with the same name. Counters aren't removed from your permanents due to game rules. Permanents you control attached or combined illegally remain on the battlefield. For complete rules and regulations, see rule 704.)

Spellskite

If Spellskite leaves the battlefield before its ability resolves or otherwise becomes an illegal target for the target spell or ability before its ability resolves, no targets are changed.

If a spell or ability has a variable number of targets, you can't change the number of targets.

If a spell or ability has multiple targets but doesn't use the word “target” multiple times, such as the ability of Deepglow Skate, you can only change one of the targets to Spellskite.

If changing one target of a spell or ability to Spellskite would make other targets of that spell or ability illegal, that target can't be changed to Spellskite.

If the spell or ability has multiple instances of the word “target,” you choose which one target you're changing to Spellskite as Spellskite's ability resolves.

You can activate Spellskite's ability even if Spellskite isn't a legal target for the target spell or ability—or even if that spell or ability has no targets. In this case, no targets are changed.
