Axelrod Gunnarson

Whenever a creature is damaged by Axelrod Gunnarson and put into the graveyard, you gain 1 life and Axelrod deals 1 damage to target player.

Each time a creature is put into a graveyard from play, check whether Axelrod Gunnarson had dealt any damage to it at any time during that turn. (This includes combat damage.) If so, Axelrod Gunnarson’s second ability will trigger. It doesn’t matter who controlled the creature or whose graveyard it was put into.

A maximum of one nonbanding creature can join an attacking band no matter how many creatures with banding are in it.

Creatures in the same band must all attack the same player or planeswalker.

If a creature with banding attacks, it can team up with any number of other attacking creatures with banding (and up to one nonbanding creature) and attack as a unit called a “band.” The band can be blocked by any creature that could block a single creature in the band. Blocking any creature in a band blocks the entire band. If a creature with banding is blocked, the attacking player chooses how the blockers’ damage is assigned.

If a creature in combat has banding, its controller assigns damage for creatures blocking or blocked by it. That player can ignore the damage assignment order when making this assignment.

Activated abilities contain a colon. They’re generally written “[Cost]: [Effect].” Some keywords are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text.

Banding (Any creatures with banding, and up to one without, can attack in a band. Bands are blocked as a group. If any creatures with banding you control are blocking or being blocked by a creature, you divide that creature's combat damage, not its controller, among any of the creatures it's being blocked by or is blocking.)

Barl’s Cage doesn’t track the creature’s controller. If the affected creature changes controllers before its old controller’s next untap step, this ability will prevent it from being untapped during its new controller’s next untap step.

If the targeted creature is untapped at the time its controller’s next untap step begins, this ability has no effect. It won’t apply at some later time when the targeted creature is tapped.

You may target any creature with this ability. It doesn’t have to be tapped.

Blood Moon

If a nonbasic land has an ability that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped, it will lose that ability before it can apply. The same is also true of any other abilities that modify how a land enters the battlefield or apply "as" a land enters the battlefield, such as the first ability of Cavern of Souls.

If a nonbasic land has an ability that triggers "when" it enters the battlefield, it will lose that ability before it can trigger.

Nonbasic lands will lose any other land types and abilities they had. They will gain the land type Mountain and gain the ability "{T}: Add {R}."

This effect doesn't affect names or supertypes. It won't turn any land into a basic land or remove the legendary supertype from a legendary land, and the lands won't be named "Mountain."

The willow knows what the storm does not: that the power to endure harm outlives the power to inflict it.

Blood of the Martyr

Until end of turn, you may redirect to yourself all damage dealt to any number of creatures. The source of the damage does not change.

Cocoon

Tap target creature you control and put three change counters on Cocoon. If there are any change counters on Cocoon, that creature does not untap during your untap phase. During your upkeep, remove one change counter. During the upkeep after the one in which the last change counter was removed, put a +1/+1 counter on the creature, the creature gains flying, and bury Cocoon.

The creature can still be untapped using spells and abilities.

If the Aura is moved to a different creature, the number of counters is unchanged.

Enchant creature you control
When Cocoon enters, tap enchanted creature and put three pupa counters on Cocoon.
Enchanted creature doesn't untap during your untap step if Cocoon has a pupa counter on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a pupa counter from Cocoon. If you can't, sacrifice it, put a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature, and that creature gains flying.

Concordant Crossroads

This has the supertype world. When a world permanent enters, any world permanents that were already on the battlefield are put into their owners' graveyards. This is a state-based action called the "world rule." The new world permanent stays on the battlefield. If two world permanents enter at the same time, they're both put into their owners' graveyards.

This ability affects all creatures, not just the ones you control.

The ability is targeted and checks the validity of the target when put on the stack and when resolving. If the creature is not still there when the copy ability resolves, the ability doesn't resolve and no token is put onto the battlefield. This card remains on the battlefield as an enchantment with no token.

Treat the token as entering as a copy of the chosen creature. If that creature normally gets counters when entering, the token creature gets counters.

If Dance of Many leaves the battlefield before its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and put a token onto the battlefield. That token won't have any connection to a Dance of Many permanent, so it won't be exiled when a Dance of Many leaves the battlefield.

When Dance of Many enters, create a token that's a copy of target nontoken creature.
When Dance of Many leaves the battlefield, exile the token.
When the token leaves the battlefield, sacrifice Dance of Many.

o5: Sacrifice Gauntlets of Chaos. Choose a target artifact, creature, or land opponent controls and a target permanent you control of the same type. Exchange control of these permanents. Bury any enchantments played on these permanents.

As you activate the ability, the targets you choose must be two artifacts, two creatures, or two lands. As the ability resolves, both targets will be legal only if they are two artifacts, two creatures, or two lands at that time as well, though they may be a different type than they were at the time the ability was activated. For example, if the targets were a creature and an artifact creature when the ability was activated, but the first target became a noncreature artifact by the time the ability resolves, both targets will still be legal (since they’re both artifacts).

If one of the targets is illegal by the time the ability resolves (because the wrong player controls it, or it’s the wrong card type, or for any other reason), the exchange doesn’t happen. The target that’s still legal will remain under its controller’s control. Since the exchange doesn’t happen, no Auras are destroyed. (If both targets are illegal, the ability doesn’t resolve.)
